Tryout Details
Saturday, March 27 
Tryouts will be held at the Jefferson Activity Center
Please arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled time.

9:00-11:00      10 year olds    A-L 9:00 and M-Z 10:00
11:00-12:00    11 year olds      A-L 11:00 and M-Z 11:30
1:00-2:00       12 year olds     A-L 1:00 and M-Z 1:30
2:30-4:00       13 year olds      A-L 2:30 and M-Z 3:15
4:30-5:30       14 year olds    A-L 4:30 and M-Z 5:00

Times may be adjusted slightly when final registration numbers are reviewed.

Please print out and sign the Tryout Waiver form here and bring this to Players Only on Sunday.

A-L arrive the first 1/2 hour, M-Z  the second half hour.

No bags please. Only a helmet, gloves and bat will be needed. Participants must wear tennis shoes, no cleats and a protective cup.
 
Particpants must not wear any clothing indicating their name or participation in a prior years traveling team.
 
Parents may not watch tryouts but are allowed to remain in building.
 
Participants must bring signed waiver form to batting tryout at Players Only.

Pitch 2 Pitch offers several opportunities to get ready for the upcoming season. They will be hosting team practice and coaches clinics this season. Coaches are welcome to come and observe all sessions and ask questions.

Pitching, Catching, & Hitting 7 week program at the Burnsville Fieldhouse with Pitch 2 Pitch
 
March 7 - March 14 - March 20 - March 28 - April 11 - April 18 - April 25
 
This is a 7 week program that will cover something different each week but still have the core fundamentals of pitching, catching and hitting for each age level. 
 
8:1 instructor to player ratio  
Team-style practice vs. stations and drills
Package or individual sign-ups available
 
Taught by Pitch 2 Pitch - College & Pro Experience (All-Americans, National Champions, Big Ten Champions, Big Ten & Big 12 Pitchers of the Year) from the local areas
 
Pitching:
  • Balance
  • Direction
  • Finishing pitches, batters, innings
  • Pitch development
  • Arm care
  • Holding runners (when applicable)
  • Defense
  • Mental game - reading hitters, situational pitching, adjustments in-game and post-game
 
Catching:
  • Stance - runners on vs. no one on
  • Receiving
  • Blocking
  • Holding runners (when applicable)
  • Reading hitters and situations
  • Bunts and double plays
  • Pitcher relationship and calling games
 
Hitting:
  • Mechanics (controlled body, quick hands - adjusting to the ball)
  • Plan at the plate

Nevers Larkin offers many different programs to help players improve their skills. 

New this summer is the Elite Development  Program for players 8-12 years old.  Click here to download the entry form and frequently asked questions.

Week 1 = June 14th- 17th            
Week 2 = June 21st-24th             
Week 3 = June 28th-July 1st       
Week 4 = July 12th- 15th             
Week 5 = July 19th-23rd              
Week 6 = July 26th - 29th
Week 7 = August 2nd-5th            
Week 8 = August 9th-12th
 
Where: Weeks 1, 2 and 3 will be at a Lake Anne Complex in Chanhassen
Weeks 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8 will be at Miller Park in Eden Prairie
 
EACH WEEK WILL HAVE 2 DAYS AT PLAYERS ONLY TO WORK ON HITTING, FIELDING, PITCHING, THROWING AND CATCHING AND 2 DAYS OF ON FIELD DEVELOPMENT AT A REGULATION LITTLE LEAGUE FIELD.
 
 Ages:                     8 - 10 year olds and 10 - 12 year olds
 Player coach Ratio:           1 Coach to 5 player max

2010 BTBA Registration

Registration for the 2010 season for 9 - 14 yr. olds will begin 1/06/10.  Please see the registration page for changes and new registration guidelines for the 2010 season.

Registration for the 15 and older groups will be held later in March.  Please check the website for updates for those age groups.

Special Winter Workout March 19th for all Bloomington Players at
Nevers Larkin-Players Only facility

To prepare for the upcoming Bloomington Traveling Baseball tryouts, BTBA has arranged for a special Winter Workout night at
Players Only on March 19 from 7-9 PM
Players Only will be set up with the same format that we will be using
for the hitting portion for tryouts this year.
 
There is no charge for this workout, but we need you to RSVP if you will be attending to
